Buy the Apple AirPods Pro 3 Wireless Earbuds.
One of these blocks the world so you can focus, the other is built to let it in, and most people need the first one most days.
What was compared
- Apple AirPods Pro 3 Wireless Earbuds · $249.00
- SHOKZ OpenDots ONE Open-Ear Clip-On Bluetooth Earbuds · $139.95
Five reasons
1. Shuts out noise the Shokz lets straight through
AirPods Pro 3 actively cancel outside sound for flights, trains and open offices. OpenDots ONE skip ANC entirely because the whole open-ear design exists to let traffic and conversation in, which is the opposite of what most daily listening needs.
2. Bass and detail the open design can't seal in
A sealed tip is what gives earbuds real low end and isolation, reviewers note the Pro 3 drivers add stronger bass with a still-crisp top end. OpenDots ONE sit outside the ear canal by design, so bass response is the first thing an open-ear format gives up.
3. Hearing aid and live translation Shokz simply skip
AirPods Pro 3 double as a clinical-grade hearing aid feature and do real-time Live Translation, both baked into the hardware. OpenDots ONE have no equivalent at any price, because Shokz built a sport accessory, not a health and communication device.
4. Open-ear safety is real, just not most days
If you run or cycle on roads and need to hear cars coming, the OpenDots ONE clip-on design genuinely earns its keep and the AirPods Pro 3 cannot match that awareness. But most earbud hours happen indoors or in transit, where hearing the room adds nothing and losing ANC is a straight downgrade for anyone who is not training outdoors daily.
5. Yes it costs $110 more. Buy it anyway.
The OpenDots ONE at $139.95 against $249 looks like easy savings, but that gap buys ANC, hearing health tools and deep Apple ecosystem integration the Shokz never offers. For a daily driver that covers commuting, calls and workouts, that is money spent on a feature set the cheaper pair simply cannot do.
