There is no signup, so there is no box to tick. Using Pickerooo is the agreement. It is short on purpose.
You give us two or three links to the same kind of product. We read those pages, compare what we find, and write down which one we would pick with five reasons behind it. That is the whole service, and it is free.
The verdict is a judgement written by a machine from the information on two web pages. It is not professional, financial or safety advice, and it is not a guarantee that the product will suit you. The decision to spend is yours alone.
We read the page once, at the moment you paste it. The shop can change the price, run out of stock or pull the listing a minute later. Always check the price on the shop's own page before you pay. We are not the seller and we hold no stock.
Paste links to public product pages, one product each. Do not use Pickerooo to scrape a site at volume, to break a shop's own terms, or to run automated traffic through it. If a link needs a login to see, we cannot read it and neither should we.
Shops block readers, pages break, and the engine occasionally gives up. We promise no uptime and no fixed response time. When a decision cannot be finished you are told plainly and nothing is charged, because nothing ever is.
Pickerooo is free, so as far as the law allows we are not liable for a purchase you regret, a price that changed, or a product that disappointed you. Nothing here removes rights you have against the shop that sold you the thing. Those are unaffected.
If these terms change, this page changes, and the old version stays available on request. Pickerooo is run from South Africa and South African law applies.
We do not know who you are, and we like it that way.
No account, no email, no password. You paste links, we give an opinion back, and the whole exchange is anonymous.
The links you pasted, the products we found behind them, the verdict we wrote, and how long the engine took. That record gets a code like #4XD5E3HQ so you can come back to it. No name is attached, because we never asked for one. If you type a note into the feedback box, we keep the note too.
Your name, your email, your card, your address book. We run no advertising trackers and we sell nothing to anybody. There is no profile of you here to sell, which is the simplest privacy promise a product can make.
The model that writes the verdict reads your links. The shops you linked to see an ordinary visit when we fetch the page. If our visitor counter is on, Google Analytics counts the visit in totals, never as you. And the computer we rent keeps ordinary server logs, like every website you have ever used. That is the whole list.
For as long as the link needs to work. Every verdict lives at its own permanent address so you can send it around, and deleting it would kill that link. If you want one of yours gone, ask, and it is deleted for good. The running totals we keep about the machine itself carry no links and no products in them.
You can ask for a copy of a decision or ask us to delete it. Send the code to hello@pickerooo.com and we will act on it the same day. Without the code we cannot find the record, because there is no name on it to search for.
At most one cookie, and it is not for advertising.
No banner to dismiss and no list of forty vendors behind a Manage button. This is the whole thing.
A cookie is a small note your browser keeps for a site. Pickerooo sets none today and at most one ever. There is no local storage of your decisions, no pixel from an ad network, and no fingerprinting of your device.
There is no login cookie and no session cookie, because there is no login. While the machine decides, the page keeps its place in the address bar, not in a cookie. Close the tab mid decision and the machine still finishes the job, but it has no way to hand you the link. Let it finish first.
When our visitor counter is on, Google Analytics sets _ga so we can count how many people used Pickerooo today and where they gave up. We look at totals, never at individuals, and advertising features and demographic reporting stay off. Switch it off and Pickerooo works exactly the same.
No advertising cookies. No social media pixels. No cross site trackers, retargeting tags, or third party sharing of anything a cookie collected. Because there is no account and no login, there is also nothing here worth building a profile from.
When you click Go buy it, Amazon or the shop you linked to sets its own cookies on its own site under its own policy. That is outside Pickerooo and we cannot see it. If the link carries our affiliate tag, the shop records that the visit came from us. It costs you nothing and it changes no verdict.
Your browser can block or clear cookies for pickerooo.com at any time, and every major browser has a private mode that clears them when you close the window. Blocking cookies here breaks nothing, which is rare enough to be worth saying out loud.
If we ever add a cookie, this page gets the new entry before the cookie is set. We will not add an advertising cookie. If that ever stops being true it will be stated here first, in plain words.
